SCO Receives COA Reaccreditation

October 2, 2014 / SCO News

SCO has received official notice of reaccreditation from the Council on Accreditation (COA), the independent nonprofit child and family service and behavioral healthcare accrediting organization. Reaccreditation is “a tremendous achievement that demonstrates that your organization is recognized as a provider that continues to successfully implement high performance standards and, as such, is delivering the highest quality services to all of its stakeholders,” COA said. “With a total of 250 years of social service experience at all levels among the eight of us, and our experience doing more than 300 of these reviews, we have found that you are practicing at the peak of your profession,” Jane Bonk, head of the COA reaccreditation team, told SCO staff this summer. The COA team studied 436 SCO case files and visited with dozens of clients, staff, volunteers and families. A reaccreditation review happens every four years.
