Chief Administrative Officer
Robert Sherman oversees information technology, business operations, data management and analytics, human resources and payroll. He directs administrative systems and procedures and works to streamline and develop new systems.
Prior to joining SCO as Chief Administrative Officer, Bob worked for The Center for Development of Human Services in Albany, NY, as Project Manager of the New York State Department of Health Long Term Care Restructuring Initiative. From 2000-2005 he served as Commissioner of the Nassau County Department of Social Services, where he oversaw child and adult protective services, employment and childcare, foster care and preventive services, juvenile detention, child support collection and enforcement, emergency services, Medicaid and temporary assistance. He formerly held additional critical roles at Nassau County Department of Social Services as well as in the Office of the County Executive.
He is a graduate of the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh and earned an MPA at Baruch College.
