Assistant Executive Director, Managed Care Services
Sheriffa Gallwey currently oversees SCO’s transition to managed care including: Health Home/Care Coordination program start –up, managed care infrastructure readiness, and the strategic direction for SCO’s medical and mental health related services. She joined SCO in 2001 as the Director of Social Services in Community Residential Programs. Over 15 years of committed service to SCO, she has held key roles including Home-Based Family Therapist, Program Director and Director of Clinical Services.
Over the course of her career, Sheriffa worked with other child focused and mental health organizations including Little Flower Children’s Services, Children’s Village, Institute for Community Living, and The MHA of Westchester. Her commitment to child welfare extends to the academic arena where she taught social welfare policy and served as an academic Advisor at Hunter College Silberman School of Social Work as an adjunct faculty member 2008-2012. Sheriffa holds a Master’s in Social Work and a Ph.D. in Social Welfare.
