Chief Financial Officer
Stephen Mack joined SCO Family of Services in December 2010. He has oversight of the agency’s accounting function ensuring that timely and accurate financial statements are produced on a monthly and annual basis. In addition, he oversees the agency’s annual financial statement audit, A-133 audits, and Cost Report preparation and is responsible for the creation and maintenance of internal control procedures across the financial functions of the agency.
Prior to his appointment as Director of Finance, Stephen served as a Fiscal Director where he was responsible for the financial oversight of the agency’s foster care programs. Stephen has previously worked as an Assistant Controller at the Nassau County chapter of NYSARC, Inc., and spent many years in public accounting where he focused on audits and management consulting for not-for-profit agencies.
He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and Applied Mathematics and Statistics from SUNY Stony Brook and a Master’s Degree of Business Administration from Hofstra University. Stephen is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
