Edward W. Stack
Edward W. Stack joined the SCO Board of Directors in 2000. He served as Chair from 2007 to 2011, and currently is the Board’s Assistant Treasurer, Chair of the Executive Compensation Committee, and a member of the Audit, Investment & Pension, QI & Risk Management and Finance committees.
Ed is the retired president and director of The Clark Estates, Inc., New York. He is a Director of The Clark Foundation, The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, Inc. and many other charitable and cultural organizations.
Ed and his wife, Chris, live in Port Washington. An active member of the community, Ed is Trustee of the United Methodist Church in Sea Cliff and he served on the North Shore School Board. He was named Citizen of the Year in 1984 by the North Shore Kiwanis, and in 1996 he was awarded SCO’s Humanitarian Award. He is also a past Director of North Shore Kiwanis.
In 2001, a cottage on the grounds of the Robert J. McMahon Children’s Center (formerly known as the St. Christopher’s Home) was named the Edward W. Stack Cottage in Ed’s honor
