SCO Family of Services Elects Four New Board Members

(June 26, 2014 – Brooklyn, NY) SCO Family of Services, one of the oldest and largest human service nonprofits in New York, elected four distinguished New York City business and civic leaders to the SCO Board of Directors at its June 24th meeting.
The new Board members are:
- Timothy L. Fulton, President T&T Scrap, LLC
- Peter J. Madonia, Chief Operating Officer, The Rockefeller Foundation
- Maulin P. Shah, Portfolio Manager, Balyasny Asset Management
- Mitali V. Sohoni, Managing Director, Structured Credit, Citibank, N.A.

“As chair of the SCO Board of Directors, I am very pleased and proud to have these expert and caring New Yorkers join our Board,” said Kelly L. Williams. “Tim, Peter, Maulin and Mitali each bring considerable financial and management expertise – knowledge that is critical to SCO’s continued success as a leader in the nonprofit sector. They will all make a significant contribution to the work we do throughout SCO.”

Timothy L. Fulton
Timothy L. Fulton is the founder and President of T&T Scrap, one of New York City’s largest and most environmentally conscious recycling firms. With multiple facilities throughout New York City, Mr. Fulton is an active member of the New York League of Conservation Voters and the East Williamsburg Valley Industrial Development Corporation (EWVIDCO). He was the proud honoree at the SCO Shepherd’s Gala in March, 2014 and serves on committees overseeing the Shepherd’s Gala and the Howard F. Treiber Memorial Golf Outing.
Peter J. Madonia
Peter J. Madonia joined The Rockefeller Foundation in 2006. As Chief Operating Officer, he provides leadership and strategic direction for financial and operational functions at the Foundation. Previously, Mr. Madonia served as Chief of Staff to former NYC Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg. His previous experience in NYC government included serving as First Deputy Commissioner of the Fire Department, Deputy Commissioner for budget and operations at the Department of Buildings and Chief of Staff to the Deputy Mayor for operations. He also owns and for 12 years operated a successful family bakery in the Bronx. Mr. Madonia received a bachelor’s degree from Fordham University, where he has taught urban studies as an adjunct professor. He also has a master’s degree in Urban Studies from the University of Chicago.
Maulin P. Shah
Maulin P. Shah is the Portfolio Manager, Event Driven Equities at Balyasny Asset Management, where he manages a portfolio within the global event driven & risk arbitrage universe. His previous positions included Managing Director, Portfolio Manager & Head of Equity Special Situations Group at Perry Capital and Portfolio Manager, Head of Event Driven Strategy at Shumway Capital Partners. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.
Mitali V. Sohoni
Mitali V. Sohoni is Managing Director, Structured Credit at Citibank, N.A., where she manages a group of traders within Structured Credit focused on financing solutions for fixed income assets globally. She previously held the position of Director, Sales & Structuring at Scotia Capital and Associate, Credit Derivatives Structuring at TD Securities. She received a dual degree B.A. in Economics and Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of California, Berkeley. She has performed in multiple off-off-off Broadway Fourth Wall Actors productions including “Here I Am,” “Out of the Blue,” and “Connections.”
