The annual event provides SCO’s families and children with the chance to attend a car show and receive toys to kick off the holidays.
ASTORIA, NEW YORK (December 10, 2025) — The Astoria Car Club teamed up with the NYPD Community Affairs Queens Outreach Division to kick off the holiday season with their annual Toy Run to benefit the children and families served by SCO Family of Services, a leading provider of essential human services in NYC and Long Island.
Excited children and families gathered in Astoria, Queens on December 7th to receive holiday toys and get a chance to meet Santa!
The festive holiday event included a car show, hot chocolate, and holiday music to set the mood. The highlight, of course, was Santa Claus – who greeted and posed for photos with every child. Youth in SCO’s mentorship programs helped children navigate through hundreds of toys to find the perfect one.
“We’re so grateful to have community partners like Astoria Car Club and the NYPD Community Affairs Queens Outreach Division who bring the magic of the holiday season to our children and families,” remarked Suzette Gordon, SCO Family of Services President & CEO.
New York State Assembly Member Michael Novakhov stopped by to help celebrate, presenting the event’s hosts with certificates recognizing their support for the community.
This was the 11th year of the annual Toy Run. Anthony Primiani, the event’s founder and a member of the Astoria Car Club, and his wife, Elena Scarlelli, worked with SCO to combine their love of cars with their desire to help local communities.
SCO extends its gratitude to Anthony Primiani, Elena Scarlelli, the Astoria Car Club, the NYPD Community Affairs Queens Outreach Division, Deluxe Detailing and Team Auto Body for their generous support, as well as King Souvlaki, who donated food for all the kids.
