Outdated Campus, Evolving Needs

RMJCC’s current facility was built more than 50 years ago. Despite advances in care that help our children live longer, healthier lives, our campus has not kept pace. Outdated infrastructure, limited accessibility, and aging spaces no longer support the high level of care these children deserve. Now, it’s time to create a campus that reflects the quality and compassion of our work and inspires healing and hope for decades to come.

A Place Where Healing Begins and Hope Takes Root

At the Robert J. McMahon Children’s Center in Sea Cliff, children with the most complex medical and developmental needs receive 24/7 nursing, behavioral therapies, education, and social services. This is the only residential facility of its kind in the region and the only place where these children can truly heal and grow.

Our peaceful 13.5-acre campus is home to 73 children and adolescents, 80% of whom are nonverbal. Within the RJMCC, The Tyree Learning Center provides individualized, state-certified special education, helping each child reach their fullest potential.

A $6 Million Investment in Their Future

With your support, we are embarking on a $6 million capital campaign to transform the Robert J. McMahon Children’s Center into a modern, accessible home where our children can continue to heal, grow, and thrive.

Campaign Goals:

Renovate residential cottages to enhance comfort, safety, and accessibility.
Upgrade medical and therapeutic spaces with state-of-the-art equipment.
Expand and improve outdoor areas for play, recreation, and learning.
Modernize shared spaces fostering community, connection, and joy.
