SCO Receives Rave Reviews from COA

Glen Cove, NY  The Council on Accreditation just finished up their re-accreditation review of SCO, a process that occurs every four years. A team of eight peer reviewers spent four days reviewing case records, interviewing staff at all levels and observing our settings and our work. In all, they visited 38 programs throughout NYC and Long Island.

Our COA peer reviewers spoke about SCO’s strong leadership, engaged Board and they couldn’t say enough good things about our staff and the work they do. Across programs, they noted the emphasis on respecting clients, providing individualized treatment and maintaining family connections. Their conclusion: SCO has great programs and excellent staff.
