SCO WellBabies Project to Support Infants & Toddlers
January 22, 2019 / SCO News
SCO is excited to launch the WellBabies Project to promote resilience of babies and toddlers of young mothers in our Independence Inn and Bethany programs. These programs serve youth in foster care and runaway and homeless youth – young people who have experienced significant trauma and are at risk for poor long-term health and socioeconomic outcomes. Thanks to funding from the Child Welfare Fund and RAR Family Foundation, the programs will now staff an Infant Mental Health Specialist who will focus solely on the mental health and wellness of the mother-child pair – promoting resilience in young children through assessments, psychotherapy, workshops, and staff training.

85%
of residents in our group homes for adults with developmental disabilities attended Day Habilitation and receive vocational services

91%
of babies in our Nurse Family Partnership were current with immunizations at 24 months
