SCO’s Denise Lam and Gregory Blanc Attend Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Summit 2026

May 12, 2026 / Independent Youth News

SCO’s Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Supervisor, Denise Lam, and Recruiter, Gregory Blanc, attended the annual Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Summit on behalf of SCO, where they joined child welfare partners to share ideas and strengthen permanency-focused practices for youth and families.

Through evidence-based, results-driven national service programs, foster care adoption awareness campaigns and innovative grantmaking, Wendy’s Wonderful Kids works to ensure every child has a safe, permanent family.

The Wendy’s Wonderful Kids (WWK) Summit 2026 offered recruiters and supervisors from the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico an opportunity to network while learning new strategies for supporting permanency goals for youth.

This year’s WWK Summit 2026 topics included:

  • “Renewing the Possibilities: Deepening Practice to Optimize Permanency for Children”
  • “Beneath the Mask: Understanding and Supporting Adopted Teens”
  • “Hope Is Here: The Five Habits That Help Us Carry and Share Hope”
  • “Coming Full Circle: Ricky Walters’ Adoption Story”

We are grateful to Denise and Gregory for their participation in the WWK Summit, joining other organizations to support permanency for youth in care.
