Agency Operated Boarding Home – Hard to Place – 107th Avenue

Theandre Geiger, Program Manager at SCO’s Agency Operated Boarding Home – Hard to Place – 107th Avenue program would like to recognize her entire team for their outstanding efforts during a difficult time.

“During a challenging period in which I was absent from the program, the team came together in an extraordinary way. Judy Harrison, Patricia Goodwine, Shanta Nartey, Jenisa M. Winstead, and Unique K. Redd demonstrated unwavering dedication, professionalism, and commitment to both our residents and our program.

When I informed the staff of my absence, I asked them to continue supporting one another, maintain stability within the home, and provide the level of care our residents deserved. They exceeded every expectation. They worked together to ensure shifts were covered, maintained a safe and structured environment, and remained focused on the needs of our residents, even during a difficult and uncertain time.

This team also remained diligent in completing required trainings, maintaining compliance standards, and ensuring the program continued to operate at a high level. Their collective efforts contributed to successful ACS and OCFS inspections and reflected the pride they take in their work every day.

Most importantly, they supported one another as a team. Their dedication, resilience, compassion, and commitment to our mission are the reasons our program continued to thrive throughout this challenging period.

They reminded me what true teamwork looks like. During one of the most difficult periods of my career, they did not allow the residents, the home, or the program to suffer. Instead, they stepped up, supported one another, and carried the responsibility with pride and professionalism. Their actions showed dedication not only to their work, but also to the people they serve every day.

I am grateful for each of them and proud to call them my team. They have earned their flowers, their recognition, and my deepest respect. I am honored to nominate Judy Harrison, Patricia Goodwine, Shanta Nartey, Jenisa M. Winstead, and Unique K. Redd for the outstanding commitment, teamwork, and excellence they consistently demonstrate in service to our residents and SCO’s mission.”
