Available Positions

Nurse – Residential

Responsibilities: Assess, plan, implement, and monitor nursing services for youth in SCO’s  residential foster care programs. Ensure youth receive medical and behavioral health services according to their prescribed plan of care in compliance with federal, state, and local safety and quality requirements.  

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s prepared RN from NYSED accredited school of nursing, or a Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited school 
  • NY State Professional Registered Nurse License 
  • AHA Basic Health Care Life Support  
  • Must have six (6) or more months of relevant nursing experience OR must be an active participant with an accredited Nurse Residency Program 

Licensed Practical Nurse — Community

Responsibilities: Ensure that youth in foster care and community services receive medical and behavioral health services according to their prescribed plan of care in compliance with federal, state, and local safety and quality requirements. Assess, plan, implement, and monitor nursing services for youth in SCO residential programs. 

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s prepared LPN from NYSED accredited school of nursing, or a Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited school  
  • NY State Professional Licensed Practical Nurse License 
  • AHA Basic Health Care Life Support 

Nurse Practitioner

Responsibilities: Manage and ensure full compliance with Article 29i, Article 31, ACS, DOH, and OCFS policies. Supervise clinic activities to ensure that all medical visits and encounters follow agency procedures. Monitor and track caseload and oversee cases. 

Qualifications:  

  • Holds a Nurse Practitioner Degree (NP) from a recognized school  
  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner  
  • Current knowledge of OSHA regulations  
  • 2 years clinical experience in pediatrics  
  • Knowledge of or experience in foster care or similar pediatric populations
