SCO Off To College Program Co-Hosts Brownsville Family Wellness Fair

October 26, 2021 / SCO News

With funding from NYC Young Men’s Initiative, SCO’s Off to College Program teamed up with Healthy Start Brooklyn, Love Is Key, Umoja Events and The Coco Pauline Company to host the Brownsville Family Wellness Fair on October 16th.

More than 30 families attended the event, held at Betsy Head Park, which included the Vinny Voltage science show, a lacrosse clinic, and a fun-filled bubble area. SCO Off To College leaders created the run of show and facilitated many of the activities. Love Is Key provided activities that promoted family engagement. The Healthy Start Brooklyn CAN Committee helped provide a safe and fun environment for the families attending. SCO’s Test & Trace team was also there to provide COVID testing and vaccination information and PPE supplies. All of the activities were geared to engage and encourage every family member to participate.
