Brian T. Edwards
Vice Chair
Brian Edwards is the Vice Chairman of the SCO Board of Directors.
Brian was named President of Consumer Banking for Sterling National Bank in October 2017 where his areas of responsibility include both Consumer and Business Banking, as well as Wealth Management. Previously, he was the Executive Vice President and Managing Director of the Retail Banking Group for Astoria Bank until the Company’s merger in October 2017.
His management experience is primarily within financial services, including senior management positions with Citigroup and Bank of America, as well as marketing and sales management positions within consumer goods and sports marketing. Prior to joining Astoria in 1998, he was the Director of Marketing and Sales for the New York Islanders in the National Hockey League. He is also a member of the New York State Bankers Association Retail Banking Division Executive Committee.
An alumnus of Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, Brian is also a board member of both the Education and Assistance Corporation (EAC) and Advancement for Commerce, Industry and Technology (ACIT). He resides on Long Island with his wife and two children, is an avid boater and plays ice hockey regularly.
